What other thread Stu ???
I don't mind saying that I contacted Gaz too about the car. I have a pal who fancies a nice blob and when I saw your for sale thread I thought it fitted the bill perfectly.
Gaz owned the car for quite some time and knew it inside out, hence contacting him about it.
Gaz was very honest and didn't slate you or the car one bit, he just explained the issues he had with the car and they were the same issues he explained to you when you bought it from him. Any potential new owner would be foolish not to contact the previous owner, especially when you've only had the car 5 mins.
From what I can gather the car still has those issues that it had when you bought it from Gaz. You've thrown some new oil in it and put a cheap plate on the car and added 3 grand to the price. Plus added another owner to the log book and put a few more miles on the speedo.
If it pays off for you then hats off to you chap, it's a lovely car and I'm sure it'll sell for what you want eventually.
You may well be right and it might not have a syncro issue and you could be right about the way Gaz drove it, but most people would be inclined to take note from someone who owned and lived with the car for many years over the voice of someone who's had it just a few weeks. Even you can appreciate that Stu....
I just feel this thread has done you no favours and i'd be greatly surprised if someone from here buys it.
Good luck with the sale Stu, hopefully it'll all work out in the end.
Matt.

thanks Matt
yes I understand about only owning it 2months , but since I have I can not replicate this crunch
and iv done a bit more than oil and filter
not loads but little touches
front splitter
alt cover
rad cover
fuse cover
engine bolt kit
red hazard switch
oil / filter
braided lines
full machine polish ( defo needed )
the parts are on order for the AST's to be rebuilt , but ast are **** slow at getting parts out
but I knocked that money off the price
what got my back up was people saying I didn't let the buyer no about this so called crunch
, but I did and hence he contacted gaz
any way it's done now and I didn't have to give the buyer his deposit back or message him with the chance to pull out , as he was comming Sunday to see/ drive / buy the car
after he was happy with all iv said to him
the deal was if he test drove it and he found the crunch he would walk away with refund
if he couldn't he was buying it or losing the deposit
all the was off my own back as I'm a stubon twa7
I'm really more than happy to keep the car the milage now is 59007 so let's see how long this box issue takes to pop bang etc etc
iv got a aa policy that covers all parts on the car and they pay the first £500 so if it does go any time soon it's ony going to cost me £300 ish
I would of been more than happy to buy this policy for the new owner ( as I was going to say this once he got there Sunday , but I got my silly head on )
as the policy only costs £70 ish
iv had it for years and they don't fob you off when it comes to a claim

I mean you've brought a car which is reported to have issues, you cant find the issue so surely that's a win win for you. You've got it cheaper because of this "issue" and haven't needed to spend money on it to repair.
and yes *touch wood* no issues yet for me!

So the issue is you bought it to turn over for a profit, fair play nothing wrong with that.
But when potential new owners ask the previous one if it has any issues and he is honest and tells them they lose interest in the car and this is what's annoyed you.
Sadly this thread is not going to help you shift it either.
I'd advertise it at a price reflecting the problems and hopefully you will break even.

The problem is most people on here know what you paid for the car not long ago, so your unlikely to sell it on here at that price. Surely you must of known that? Your probably a really nice bloke but it has to be said, you come across as a bit of a tosser over the internet.
Its turning into another version of your Type r for sale thread, as in you have a knack of rubbing people up the wrong way.
You call it stubborn......That's not what Id call it.
