Default My 2003Spec c

hi everyone.

had the spec c for coming up two years in April and just thought I would share my journey.

its a 2003 spec c, non limited so has manual windows and locks.

from what i have been able to find out as it is one of three pre production 17"model spec c's built in sep 2002. these cars were normally used as press/promo or special order cars, then later sold to the public. from what i can tell Litchfield imports was the importer from new, I would love to track down the original owner to confirm this.

as it stands today, its not one for the purists

Mods are too many to list but just of the top of my head are as follows

Alcatek ecu with switchable maps, anti lag and launch control (maf less)

Sc46 twin scroll turbo

Perrin short ram intake

Perrin 4bar map sensor

Rcm fuel pump

Mocal 15 row oil cooler with Fuji thermo adaptor.

Mishimoto ally rad with dual fans

Still running top mount intercooler

H&S Down pipe

Cobra 3” track exhaust system

Exedy twin plate hyper clutch fitted by rcm

Gearbox recently rebuilt by rm performance

355mm AP Racing 6 pot front brakes

Bc racing br coil overs

Whiteline anti lift kit

Whiteline anti roll bars

Defi gauges oil temp, oil pressure and boost.

The list does go on and on. I am still getting to know it myself.

Future plans are to upgrade the aging bc coilovers for a set of kw v3's. and to refresh the suspension components. replace the headlamps with new oem. carbon front lip. maybe replace the canards with factory winglets.

here are some photos of the car when i first purchased the car last year

one of the first things i want ted to sort was the radio. the sound was horrible and i caoul tell the speakers were shot.
so i went for an all alpine setup for now, so i could atlest have bluetooth lol

parts have been rolling in this year.

a work contact was able to help with importing a pair of oem jdm spec c non hid headlamps from Japan

these will be getting fitted over the winter along with a carbon front splitter from scoobyworld.

Next was to replace the replica ce28 style wheels. these with the ado8r tyres are a good track setup but not my cup of tea.

so Torque gt sourced me a new set of Volk te37 Black Edition 3 in 18x9.5 et43. i was somwehat limited with the early 5x100 fitment
fitted with 235/40 ps4 tyres, these ride so much better than the ado8r that i think were quite old and hard
