turbo 2000 spluttering/misfire
Good morning all.
Im going to look at a nice, tidy and low milage turbo 2000 impreza. Its a tidy, original car with low milage, full history and even has a private plate which is a bonus. And its going for a very good price....maybe.
it starts and ticks over nicely, but once you get to 3500 rpm it coughs and splutters.
does anyone know what the cause of this is or if its a common problem/simple fix? It would be a shame to walkaway from the car if its a potential easy fix but at the same time i dont want to buy a nail.
im thinking maybe MAF sensor?
I know theres no way of being 100% sure without a proper diagnosis, but id just like peoples input on this and it would be great to hear if anyone else has experienced this.
all opinions welcome cheers

With my classic it was hesitating on boost around 3000 rpm so I had it checked over by Chris Palmer. It was the MAF and boost solenoid that were duff so I replaced both parts and had it remapped, it was ace afterwards.
