About my cars handling prowess or modest acceleration?
Joe aren't you in Ossett, I can let you take it for a spin so you can judge for yourself if it has TOTB potential.

I'm not sure how going around a few cones trying to match the times of 500bhp Classic RA's would prove my claim a 300bhp Newage WRX is faster over 400m than a 400bhp Newage STi.

You think? I've seen the Banana go straight from the drag strip to the handling circuit with nothing changed other than possibly a cal setting. Andy was running circa 8/900 on the handling last time he was at TOTB when he was overall champion.

I don't do too bad for driving there and back in a road car with standard turbo and top mount...why wait for an 11 Matt why not just turn up and do it there...no better place to silence the haters
Free runs all day sat and sun although Sunday is busy, handling is just fun and banter, against the clock the pressure is on, you're looking at anything from 35-45 seconds depending on the course and if you go cone blind ....'It's not TOTB its ConeAttack'

I've just started pricing up a better braking option.
Fade isn't a problem what so ever, it's locking up/getting abs from trying to slow the car down in too short a time. Hopefully bigger disks will cure it.
I want to combat my cornering confidence issues by braking very late and using my cars pace to exit fast.
Just had a look at some Tarox 6 pots, bit pricey but what the heck.

Even more so considering it is locking the wheels on standard brakes.....
I don't see how bigger brakes are going to help the issues. Let alone considering the wrx main selling point according to Matt is its better in spring weight due to smaller brakes!

Exactly. The wheel stops turning sooner (i.e. with less pedal effort)
With the right pad/disc combination they are awesome brakes. The benefit you get with big brakes on a road car is increased repeatability in that they don't suffer from overheating because the larger surface area cools down quicker. Brembos will stop a newage from 150mph+ in about 150 metres. I've done just that at Bedford on the 1 Km straight.

Yeah silly me, I forgot that bit
If WRX brakes are so good why is it nobody says they're going to get a WRX brake 'upgrade'
The scariest thing I have driven was a 330bhp WRX with standard brakes. Without giving the matter adequate forethought I jumped in the WRX and expected it to drive just like my STi. What a shock, never again.

You never know the bigger STi brakes might help with my 1st and 2nd wheelspin problem
I don't think people realise just how fast a 330hp Newage WRX accelerates. Brakes that are deemed a good upgrade for a classic STi struggle to real in a 221hp Newage.

Jeezzzzzzzzzzus he's off again.
Just when you think you have the slightest chance of partaking in something that even remotely resembles a rational discussion, he's back in la-la land.
I have no idea if you think you're funny or if you are just plain thick Matt, but you are definitely tiresome.
