will afr gauge affect lamba signal
i recently fitted an AFR meter to my old WRX and am looknig to transfer to my new car. However after 2 weeks on, the old car the car became hesitant , when i removed the meter, it got better but didnt remove the hesitation altogether. Maybe i damaged the wire when fitting?
Under normal circumstances will an AFR affect the signal / resistance to the ecu ?

The input resistance of most AFR meters is about 10 Mohms so it is like putting a digital voltmeter onto it. So it should not affect it. Paul Adams pointed out that grounding the supply of the AFR to the lambda ground could cause the ground to be lifted if the grounding on the car had deteriorated.
Lumby, John,
Where and which wyre did you use as an input to the AFR ? I just recently bought a LCD paneldisplay which is turned into a 0-2V Voltmeter by putting some electronic parts in (total 17 EUR). It has a 4-digit scale (so 0.000 to 1.999) and its accuracy is stated as + or - 0.5%. So its pretty accurate for reading the o2 sensor value....
I did not hook it up yet because:
- I need to cut the o2 sensor wire. The o2 sensor has 3 wires (2white, 1 black) and at the ECU I read that I need B136 pin 21 (02 signal), B136 pin 30=shield. However I can't find this. My ECU has 4 ports with three connectors to it, from left to righ (down to up in the car) BLACK, GREY, EMPTY, BLUE. Non numbered !!!
- it is currently fed by a 9V battery and I'd like it to be fed by the 12V car system.
I have a MY99, PPP'ed offcourse :-)
Mark.

Look in the Link manual for a wiring diagram. B136 is blue if I recall correctly. I took my 12 V from behind the stereo, but there are others at the ECU if you prefer.
