They tend to have a limited lifespan.

If think in the 5 years+ I have had one it has accidently blocked a police laser once when I forgot to turn it off

Good peace of mind.

Laser 920 still working every day. I got one to open my garage door when I saw police cars using speed detectors on a toll road!!!! Like I wasn't paying enough already.

What test you reading mate ?? cause most off the tests I have seen show they do infact work very well !!

the only important thing is that they are infact set up / posistioned on the car properly.

You're talking Radar, the post concerns Laser. The laser jammers are active and not passive, most certainly do work and are illegal to use. Virtually all Police handheld speed devices and mobile unit van or pole-mounted units are now laser because it is far more directional than radar and has a far greater usable range.
