I am waiting for a new STI, they come with 225/45 17s on 7.5 inch wide alloys, What other tyres are available in this fitment or will fit on these wheels, it would be a shame to leave my new Toyos (215 40 17)on the car when I trade it in since I have a well worn but legal set of Pzeros that I could put back on.

I changed mine from the standard RE011 to SO2's all round. Probably one of the more sensible 'mods'

wouldn't go for the SO2s due to difficulty getting replacements as they are discontinued,

I am wondering would the 215/40/17 toyos I have on my RB5 fit?

Yes they would, but you would have a different rolling circumference. This will affect speedo accuracy and probably the handling. I am no expert on this so best to seek specialist info.
