i have got a w850i phone that i thought was lost anyhow it has turned up and is has been barred by o2.
is there anyway of getting the phone working again or is it fit for thr bin?

If it's been barred by the operator then there's nothing you can do I think (Done by IMEI - not like locking them).

It's the same as when they're stolen/lost

Barred on imei like said above, these can be changed but it's illegal to do. Put it on ebay as it will still work abroad

i tried getting it unlocked thinking it might just be barred to 02 but that did not work,it is barred to all networks.

cheers all for the replies will stick it on the fleabay and see if anyone takes it off my hands.

If you havent mde an insurance claim: then ask O2 to unblock it.

as above, if it is your phone and it is legit then they have to unblock it. If your not on the O2 network (3 for instance) then it can take upto 48hrs for the process to complete

i did an insurance claim for it so i doubt they will unblock it now.
