Track Day/Airfield Tyres
Anyone recommend a tyre for track days and airfield days? I did a day with RE010's and they died. My spare rims have probably got another session left in them so I'll need to change them.
What about AVS Sports? S02/03's die on airfields I understand....
PS Sorry if this is done to death but Search is down

Andy, i've replied on the bookatrack forum too.....
Your on 16's so you have great choice....plenty of suppliers have scrubbed or slightly used slicks from £25 each dependant on condition...........in fact, a mate of mine has 5 x 16" slicks in brill nick....no good to me as I am on 17's....Stef also has lots of 16" slicks available....stef@sidc.co.uk
Or mail me direct if you want my mates or more info.

Wouldn't slicks put lots of stress on all the suspension and bearings? Besides I'm not that good a driver to catch it when it breaks away at slick speeds
I was thinking more along the lines of a really hard compound road tyre or is the track enjoyment on slicks so much better?

Very true Andy...although the cost of bushes and a set of bearings once a year in comparison to "cheap" road tyres is negligable....
Bridgestone and Pirelli tend to be the harder wearing tyres !
