Im thinking of getting rid of the scoob due to not being used and was wondering what a MY98 UK Turbo 2000 go for these days, realistically.

Dont know if its any help but there was a 2000 spec uk turbo for sale by me the other day for £4995 in good condition with average miles with a jap specialist. I would guess yours to be worth about 4k depending on spec and upgrades.

I was wondering the same mate with my my00 with very similar spec, was getting offers from dealers from 5000 quid against astra gsi turbo's in smaller garages. Carcraft was bartered to 4500 against an m spec 325 ci that i was quite tempted with and newport mazda only offered me 3200 against a RX8. if it was a part ex then i reckon its worth haggling apart from that mazda garage ive yet been offered less than 4500.

then i drive it after being out of it so long and after hearing it i think nah ill keep it

Cheers

Ian

I know what you mean im split between getting rid and getting a RX7 and a run around or spending the money on the scoob to get to the 300bhp club....fair play the scoob hasnt put a foot wrong ( touch wood ) but its just sitting there.

im in the similar boat mate, mine isnt getting used and i really do fancy a silly coupe Cough SKYLINE Cough but a fairly highly strun 4x4 is hard enough to run let alone an incredibly highly strung 2.5 turbo (non gtr ). I think il go the non turbo route for my next car.. im thinking the dreaded" i really should buy a place to live LOL

RX7's are lovely looking things though the maintenance on those sort of those cars scares the hell out of me, looked great in the rotorstocks ive been to tho

IF your Scooby is just sitting there what will be the difference with anything else you buy? If you are looking to save money then just get rid of it and don't replace it with anything except a push bike or a Smart car.
Otherwise you are just paying out to see a different car sitting there.
Or is there a different point being made here? Why don't you use it?

Keep the scoob Scuddy, its the cheapest option other than not replacing it.

The RX7 would be in the garage which is about to be built soon and used as a weekend'er, as for using it i got a van for work and im to fubard in the night to go any where, the misses got her ctr hence dont get used.

First things first i suppose.

P.s Plus they are becoming like the nova's and corsa's, to many off them around.

The 300 club is fatal, Once you've had a car with over 300 BHP you'll struggle to find anything practicle that measure up to it.
