Slight contradiction in terms anyway..

Microsoft and intelligence test.

Anyone with intelligence would be using Unix

Question

Question 50 ....

I don't agree with any of the answers. Everyone knows that TTL stands for "Time to Live".

TTL is a value in each IP packet's header. As a packet crosses each router, the router decrements this value by 1. If the packet traverses enough routers for the value to reach 0, routers will no longer forward the packet. The purpose of TTL is to prevent loopsTTL is life of an IP packets.

Am I sad or what?

J.

Where on earth did you pull that old set of questions out from?
That used to be classified as MCSE questions????
Some of the questions are fairly amusing.......

Dude, unfortunatly I spend like every day still working with DOS a bit for a living. Not my idea of fun tonight really. Might have a look into it tomorrow, work permitting. Far too busy at the mo being (in theory) 'helpful' on this forum

Cheers,

Nick.

The answer to 6: "Before fitting a new MPU to a motherboard, it is MOST important to ensure:-" has got to be "b: The case is removed". You can do it without an anti-static wristband (answer a) if you're lucky, but you certainly can't do it without removing the case (unless you're extremely dextrous and poke it through the floppy drive).

Is this the 1980's MSCE? Looks like an average technician should get about 50ish right, cos there are a few ambiguous questions.

Carl - That was my first thought about number 6. When I realised someone else was as screwed up as me I felt obliged to splutter coffe all over the keyboard. Thanks M8

Leave it with me and I'll let you know.

Little Miss WRX ... that might be a good idea as most people on the BBS seem to be IT ... or is that another sad comment from me?
