Netgear Router keeps dropping out?
Bought a DG834PN MIMO to upgrade from the DG834GT and so far I'm disappointed with it's performance.
Even sat at the same spot as the 834GT it doesn't seem to perform as well and every now and again it completely drops the Internet connection - the 834 GT never does this.
Other thing that seems odd is that sometimes it'll have a problem with certain websites yet others seem fine? e.g. it'll stall completely on Scoobynet yet the BBC news is fine?
Connect up the 834GT and everything is fine again - any thoughts?

Just read on the Netgear forum that this is a regular problem with this model - there's countless posts with people having the same problem. Back to Amazon methinks and replace with summit else.

Just bought one, so far no problems. My laptop has a built in wireless card so i'm using that and not the free dongle that comes with it.
Just upgraded from a Linksys 54g which worked fine for about 2 years untill it kept dropping the wired lan connection to my desktop every 30 seconds.

I have just replaed my Netgear DG834 V1(old model )with a DG834N and quite impressed with it . No drop outs, its loads faster and more stable , first thing I did was to install the latest firmware and so far no problems

John Lewis have them for £99 - expensive but if it works
Need to check the important areas that I'm trying to access are on the same ring circuit though.
