Oh crap
Had my xbox 360 a week now when during a online game of gears of war the game stoped and a ring of red lights on the box 
turned it off then back on and its fine so what do i do

Check for anything that might be affecting the cooling of the console!
If there's nowt to close to it, then it might have just been a blip although you may just be looking at an xmas without the 360 working.
If I were you I would go out tomorrow and buy a memory card/stick thing, transfer your game saves on to it and then I'd be back on the console, hammering it with the most gfx intensive game you have trying to make it break completely, then take i back to the shop before close of play on Saturday!

its only a week old should have keept my other 
hope its not going up the ****ter couldnt cope with the wife without it over christmas lol
