Default Shevchenko ponders leaving Milan!

could he be the next Man U striker? as it is looking more likely that Van the man is on his way out, what do you guys think?

I doubt it. Schevchenko would be a big money buy. MU aren't likely to sell one 29 year old striker and then spend silly cash on another.

Also as soon as Chelsea hear he is for sale they will go completely loopy and start throwing blank cheques around.

More likely Torres/Owen for MU i'd think.

I hope RVN doesn't go as to be honest I don't think we'll get a good enough replacement, if we could straight swap him for Ronaldo i'd say do it though!

Not at all, MU's purchases have always had to be justified up until the Glazer buyout.

We've spent in 10 years what you guys spent in 3

None of them were 29 anyway

Paul you know the cash Chelski are spending are on another level all together (cue Airplane joke).

The transfer fees they will pay are way above what any other club would consider and the wages they will pay are again on another level. Shevchenko will go to Chelski along with Ballack and Teves. Money talks and always has done as United, Real etc have proved in the past. Chelski are operating on a whole new level though.

you probably overtook us long ago.

It could be an interesting summer transfer wise.

Gallas and Crespo to go from Chelsea? Maybe SWP too.

I'm hoping RVN doesn't leave MU really.

I'd think the big 2 spanish clubs will fancy shevchenko as well.

Roy deserved it.

If you look at the wage bills ours will never have been as high as chelsea's now.

Especially with the news that they're going to be spending £26m (130k a week) on Ballack's wages alone.

Roy Keane deserved £90k?

Other clubs couldn't match Man U's wages in the past, as we are now the top club we pay the most

£121k a week, after a free transfer .

RVN= £19.1 million + £50k/£60k a week? x 6 years.

You're good at spelling, lets see what your? maths is like

You need to add Ruud's goals to the equation, plus his age when signing. Create a 'proper' formula for working out his worth and we'll talk.

On the spelling - you're getting better, C+.

Not quite the top club.

Years of tradition and a huge fanbase have made MU what they are today.

MU earnt the money they were spending.

Chelsea won the lottery and now spend it like an 18 year old chav who's never heard of a financial adviser.

Premier League champions doesn't make them the top club? I suppose winning just the Carling cup over the last 2 seasons does

Man Utd never had any blank cheques to throw around. All our spending had to be justified at the end of the year to the shareholders. We had to earn whatever we spent.

Chelsea on the other hand had some dodgy russian bloke come along and threw money at them.
