I was thinking what a good idea it would be if we had a meet then a bit of an evening social thing. Having spoke to Gridlock (the meet god) he sugested that we have our usual monthly meet on Staurday 15th.

I therefore suggest we do the following, as the last one was such a success;

12 - 1 Meet at Gunthorpe
2 - 3ish Drive to another pub
4 - 5 ish Back to my house for food and evening festivities (including beer/etc for those would can drop there cars off at home or dont mine leaving them at mine (nice area, next door has a TVR Tuscan))maybe go on to town.

Let me know what you think.

This is the arranged trip up to Scotland, I am going on track at Knockhill (Hoping that htere is nothing to stop me this time - first time car was not suitable for track, second time a hospital appointment made sure that I arrived too late and third time I crash the car. Everything is crossed for this time!!! I MUST go on Knockhill, it is a fantastic circuit http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif)

Not at all! I have the 14th, 15th and 16th dedicated for a trip to Scotland, would not turn that down for the world!!! Just as the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th are reserved for the infamous Tour D'Ecosse http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I would love to go on a night out again in Nottingham, I have to admit The Works is worth a few re-visits!

Trouble is I am struggling with time off work again. And struggling not to lose my temper with my boss!!!

So I am sorted for food and drink then http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I really must come across (was going to say down but I thought that would provoke too many comments http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif) to Nottingham for a wild night. Got a new frock too, very revealing http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Sorry folks, but I'm heading for Scotland that weekend as well.

Only been to Scotland once as a kid, and I've heard so much about it, I'm eager to get up there for a look round before the Tour D'Ecosse in November.

Shame about the clash with the Scotland run. But for those staying down here, feel free to come along. The more the better(provided you come prepared with a bottle). Myself or Mikey will post the details of the meet nearer the time.

Houslow what are you and your good lady up to? No excuses with this amount of notice.

Cheers

Chris

As i understand it.. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif... the plan is this http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

1. meet up
2. drink shandies and cokes
3. drive around til we get bored
4. drink more shandies and cokes
5. back to Student Blokes
6. drink... but not shandies and cokes http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif.. apart from Salsa obviously.... cos he gets too excited after half a Pepsi http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif. And i promised his mother that i wouldn't let him play out late http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I think it really is that complex! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif

Yep Trouser, sounds good to me, just as long as you don't want me start writing a route now http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I need to have a 'professional' chat with you about my problem http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Got much work on next week? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

(Beechdales top tech couldn't even find the sympton, never mind the fault http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif )

Unless anyone has an objection the plan is as outlined above by Trouser. The start will be in the usual place, Unicorn at Gunthorpe, between 12 and 2. Drive wherever the road takes us and eventually ending up at my house.

During this we will do some food either at a pub or if the weather isn't to bad (NOTE: always rains on Notts meets) a barbeque back at mine. For those who want to 'get on it' we can go to mine via your house to drop cars off etc, or for those of you I already know bring a sleeping bag.(parking at mine is pretty safe)

Depending on the general feeling of the group we can either polish the night off with what ever tipple you fancy at my house or arrange a place to meet later in town.

See you all there
