Default brakes for MY99 - price advise required

HELP!

I am in need of new front discs (and pads), I have rung my local dealer (K T Green on Otley road) and they quoted me 52.72 per disc and then 86.80 for the pads. This price did not include VAT either.

After looking around on the internet this seems quite high, considering its only standard equipment stuff and I have seen uprated after market stuff for less??

so questions really are:

1) is this expensive or about right?

2) Where is the best place to buy standard discs/pads on-line? (if this price is too high)

3) If I don't get standard ones, what should I condsider replacing them with, for medium fast road use (disc/pad combos)?

4) Finally - can anyone recommend a good place to have the parts fitted if I end up purchasing the bit on-line?

thanks in advance for any help

Geeva

Hi Geeva

I got my car from KT Green, not the cheapest place for service and spares.
Whoever you get your spares from, any good local garage should be able to fit them for you cheaper than KT

if you're looking for OE spec stuff, get in touch with Godspeed brakes. £85 for a pair of front discs delivered to your door cheapest i've seen and guaranteed against warping for 12 months
