Can any one give me information on whether an Ipod can be connected to a head unit.
I am just about to install head unit and CD changer into recently aquired car,and thought I would install an Ipod System and not the CD changer having seen on the web that an Ipod can be play through head unit in 2 different ways.
1/Via tape adapter,which sounds a bit naff.
2/Via an adapter that fits onto Ipod and converts music played into an FM radio source that the head unit picks up. This seems better?!
Has any one done this or are other MP3 systems better?
I like the idea of the multi-use and small size of the Ipod.
Any advise anyone?
Are CD changers a dying breed?

FM modulator (iTrip, etc) = horrible

If it's definitely TDM.... then there's a version of ice>Link that works with it. It plugs into the CD changer port, enables on/off as you enter/exit CD changer mode and passes FF/RW from the head unit into the iPod.
