Anyone recomendations a good clutch, not bothered about it been a little heavy or abrupt, but must be up to the job and last. Its for a 94WRX, not tracked but driven hard.
Cheers
Skippy.

I use an AP sprung paddle. Its a bit juddery (but that could be my flywheel).
used for Hillclimbing and sprints....No complaints at all ~ apart from its a bit of pig in traffic.

I got my clutch from PTS. It is their Group N organic clutch plate and cover. Lovely biting point, not vicious and handle 300 odd hp no problem (and mines a 94 WRX!)

How much was the PTS clutch kit? Did they fit it as well?

From memory the clutch was about £400-£450 plus fitting. I got it fitted by my usual mechanic, not PTS, and I can't remeber how much that was!

AP do an organic non-paddle clutch which is absolutely awesome AND easy in traffic.
Costs about £400 plus fitting (another £150).

Is the price for the full kit, cover and plate etc or just the plate ? Fingers crossed its for the whole lot, as i would always do the cover and plate together.

Any AP dealer, Scoobymania, etc. It is the price for the full kit.

The bearing isn't included in the kit as standard, but the £400 should get you both.

The Helix assembly is 391.00 +vat and includes the bearing. Performance wise, nothing between these and the AP.

My Clutch bearing has gone after just 10,000 miles and one year on the road.(only have 1 year warranty).
Sounds like I am best to replace the whole clutch with one of these performance jobs rather than the subaru unit ?

My clutch is on its way out as well, my mechanic also recomended the STi unit instead of a UK spec. I think there's about 50 ukp in it.
I've also heard quite a lot of good stuff about the AP kit.
Just my two penny's worth
Darren.
