Weird Clifford Behaviour

My Clifford sometimes acts a little strange.
When I lock the doors and set the alarm, sometimes it doesn't chirp, then a couple of minutes later, the alarm goes off for about 4 seconds and stops. When I check the status LED there is no flash code to indicate that the alarm ever went off.
Any ideas?

Mine used to do this. The dealer reckoned it was damp or water in the siren unit. They are rumoured to leak on a regular basis
I had mine replaced under waranty. Great for a CAT1 system...

It doesn't help that some galaah mounted the siren right under the bonnet vent
I though it might be a damp thing, it only does it when it's been raining but wanted to check it wasn't a Clifford "feature"

I went to see the dealer who has taken over the franchise from the original muppets that fitted my alarm yesterday. I've had a couple of problems with the key fobs not opening the car! The guy there couldn't find anything wrong with the system, but after a good chat to him he told me that, even though Clifford are one of the top names in security systems, their gear is rubbish!
He said that there are so many sensors and systems in the alarms and the circuit boards are so small that basically the boards can't handle it. He has had loads of problems with various systems and has advised me to get shot of the Concept 300 and buy a Meta system instead.

Mark, he's got a serious case of "bad grapes".
Cliffords are complex systems that require excellent installation - you cannot take any shortcuts as an installer or they will bite.
Reliability-wise, I've had 5 with no troubles whatsoever.

Notorious - I reckon its your bonnet switch.
Classic symptoms - alarm going off after raining.
Also sounds like you've got FACT enabled as it doesn't happen again (personally I'd disable FACT & Remote Valet if thats still on)
Reposition switch and/or fit a 1K pull up resistor.
