Be careful if you buy one, I had a November 2001 car and it was a mess. I was not alone!

1,It had a constant left pull,
2,It had more rattles than a play school,
3,The windows had a mind of their own, I left it with them closed and after a half hour in Tescos they`d be half way open,
4,The CD player drained the battery overnight,
5,The tailgate needed a very hard bang to shut properly.

I could go on.

The strange thing is whenever I see a Dark Silver S on the road I think how good it was to drive and I`m tempted to give them another go. However, a quick read of the Faults and Fixes board on www,mini2.com reminds me of the hassle that car gave me and I stick with my Audi.

I`m not saying don`t buy one, just make sure the one you get is sorted out properly.

 

This is by no means the norm, my best mate is head salesman at Williams Mini in Liverpool, so I know that, Yes, there are some build probs, but only similar to most premium brands, the only thing I would recommend, get a Cooper S.

 

Simon S3, Thanks for the comments but I'm pretty set on one. We already have a Cooper at work which we have had for 18 months and its been brilliant.

Loddrikk, I wish I could have a Cooper S but insurance stops me

Got to be a Cooper. Need one by the 6th of May.
