i'm no MCSE in palm so need a bit of help trying to sync outlook express version 6 (from windows XP) with palm III.

my outlook express get my emails on the web using IMAP. when i try to set outlook express as the "default mail handler", i cant coz the button is greyed out (in tools, options, general in outlook express).

do i need MAPI? or maybe something else?

I'm not an expert but I'm not sure that you can do it with Outlook Express, I think you need a full copy of Outlook to sync messages with your palm. I could be very wrong though.

You don't say what version of the Palm Desktop your using. The Mail conduit was improved in Palm Desktop 4.0.1. I'd try upgrading to the lastest 4.1 version availabel from:

Edited to say if you want to sync your Outlook Express contacts in addition to your email you will need something like Jibe by Chapura.
