I recently changed my 98 s-plate U.K. turbo for another car the same spec but in my original choice of colour. When I test drove the car I noticed that the power delivery was not as sharp or efficient as my old car, this was by a significant amount. To my horror when I did my first reasonably long journey, the car returned about 120 miles on three quarters of a tank of petrol at an average speed of 75-80 mph, this was from London to B'ham. When I took the car back to the dealer to be tested they could not find anything wrong with it,the car has full service history and has had no engine mods yet th3e performance is miserable compared to Booster[my old turbo!] A friend of mine who runs an sti version 5 is getting better fuel economy than myself.Does anybody have any advice,HELP!

Have you been able to get figures on the mixture the car is running ?

I would suspect that fuel consumption that heavy would be shown as emissions which are excessively rich.

Maybe worth checking ?

Thanks

Maybe you could get your car checked at another dealer?
