I have the SIDC pack with Subaru wax & the wheel cleaner.

I have 2 small round pads, one white & one blue & 2 towels. What do I use to apply HD cleanse & what do I use to apply the Subaru wax?

You remember correctly - My SIDC pack just arrived containing a hand-written note:
White pad = HD cleanse
Blue pad = wax

One towel to buff off the HD cleanse, one for the wax.

Use the white pad for applyiung HD Cleanse and use one of the towels provided to buff off b4 it drys.

Next apply wax with blue applicator pad, a small section at a time. Once applied wipe in one direction with the towel folded. Then buff the wax to brilliant shine.

Just remember....when wiping the wax and buffing it use the gentlest of pressure!!!!!

Any problems call me on 0800 074 1608 or if I'm not there on my mobile 0402 822544.

Mark,

The instructions you gave seem to correspond to the instructions in the users guide for the regular wax. However, the users guide gives different instructions for the Titatnium wax, i.e. once applied use towel with moderate to heavy pressure. I have the Titanium was and that's what I've been doing. Is that correct?

Thanks,

David

Trust me...my years of experience using the products. Only use moderate to hvy pressure if you have stubborn stains, swirls etc.

Re use of Titanium....apply by hand as for Concours or by applicator as for Carbon. This wax is an either or. The manual is admitted well out of date and was written by and for daft yanks, who need their hands held every step of the way.

Once wax is applied (whatever method) wipe with a fold towel to layer wax. Then immediately buff to a shine using the gentlest of pressure.

If you are stuck call me on 0402 822544 during the day and I'll be glad to discuss with you.

Happy New Year/Millennium.

Question

Jon

I was a committed Autogymer for many years. Zymol knocks Autoglym into touch. It's a much better finish, also better for the paintwork & smells nice too. No harmful ingredients. Get a pack straight from Zymol. They do a good SIDC deal. Mark is VERY helpful with hints & tips etc.

Make sure you get all the proper towels sponge & chamois too.

I received my pack last week and did the wash, hd clean and the wax all in one day. I was very tired at the end due to me putting on too much wax at the start.

Small amounts, I learnt after doing the bonnet. It was going dark when I finished (didnt start till 1pm). I had a look the next day and was really pleased .

The rest of the autoglym is now going on my old man's car so hes happy to and his 3.99 for 5 litres of rubbish is put away until the autoglym is gone.

Only point is that I am now tempted to buy a "banana" yellow STI6, people who have used Zymol will know what I mean .

Thanks Mark and a great product.

cheers

chrisp

According to the Zymöl US web site "Paint surfaces must be equal to, or greater than, 65F for wax to bond." To all the people using the wax at the moment have you all got heated garages because that's 18C?

Mark, any comment?

Julian.

The us site and manual are written by yanks for even dafter yanks who need their hands held every step of the way.

As to the temp.....no way.
On thursday I did a car in the open air in south bavaria where the temp was minus 2C and results were superb and the customers were more than impressed. I applied the wax by hand by melting in the hand method.

If u need advice please, please call me on 0800 074 1608 or weekends or during day if I am away the number is 0402 822544.
