I have Falkens on at the mo (not brilliant) and wanted some Toy's or Bridgestones. The ones on there are 205 45 17, which doesnt sound right to me

Can anyone tell me what tyres are ok for this wheel? MY99

Hi Mark,
I've got 215/40 17's on my 01 wheels, I'm pretty sure that would be right for yours aswell!

Ta Ron,

Are you sure the 01 wheel is meant to fit on pre 2001 cars, in terms of tyre size? The size you have sounds right though.

Cool

Hi Mark

I'm running Toyo T1s 215/40 on 17" PD7s on a MY99 with no probs (excellent grip too!).

DBM - The standard Pirelli P Zeros that come on those wheels from Subaru (I have the same wheels) are 205/45/17 - not many other manufacturers make tyres that size (no decent ones anyhow). Most people go for 215/40/17's as they are a better match and people like Toyo make tyres this size (I run these). Much better grip and the extra width protects the rims.

I bought mine from Scoobyworld for £78 a corner all in. Costs about £5 a tyre for fitting and balancing at somewhere like Motorway.

Thanks P1,

That sounds like a good price. If I see you round Cambidge, ill give you a flash! I pop up there to see the ladyfriend on the odd weekend. Will try to hunt down this L5OOBY chap and see if he does wear a baseball hat! Presume you have a P1?

Ron, ta.

Nah bottled on the P1 one mate, mainly due to ins and not wanting to kill myself (previous car was a 1.6 Primera). So I settled for an X reg DBM Turbo. No mods bar the wheels, tyres and Blitz Nurspec back box.
