I'll give them a ring at lunchtime if it still hasnt arrived and get a securicor tracking number to find out where it is! I was hoping to have it yesterday to take to be sprayed today and fit it tomorrow for the weekend, oh well!

Ok guys, you'll love this!

Securicor Omega couldnt be arsed to deliver to us! they had a full address and postcode but the driver wasnt smart enough to find unit 4, so he went back to the depot with my spoiler and to get a full address at the end of the day (instead of phoning or anything), so now its due for delivery today, i explained that their driver was a doughnut as we are a huge building numbered unit 4!!! whats worse is that they cant even deliver my parcel first even though this was thier cockup so it might be in the van and might not come until this afternoon, I would have thought the least they could do is deliver it first since it was thier fault.

i dunno, but i came back here to post to say that i've got my spoiler in a very mashed up cardboard box, will inspect condition of spoiler at lunchtime!

On the group buy thing, I doubt that TSL will do more than 10, after all they have to draw a line, I doubt they'll want to keep selling them at a discount to everyone who mentions this thread.

When you do fix it to the boot, do post any difficulties that you encounter --if any!

yeah I noticed that, it comes with a light but no screws to fit it!

BTW, the end of my spoiler has a very tiny crack along it, must have been done in transit, there was little protection inside the box apart from a flimsy peice of soft padding, there was no bubble wrap and nothing to stop it moving inside the box, think this is a bit of a cheap skate idea considering the price of these things.

But my bodyshop guy is going to sort that out but would have been nice for it to arrive in one peice really!

Should be ready next week, my bodyshop quoted me £300 for colour coding my rear corner peices, door handles, mirrors and side skirts, so i'm gonna see what sort of job he does on this spoiler and then decide whether to do those bits

Perhaps it would have been easier to have it delivered to Germany?

When you say there are no screws does this mean you cant use the existing ones?

I think you can, but for the light its daft cos I'll have to sell my old spoiler without the light attached!

Just spoke to Paul(TSL),re the tiny crack in your spoiler. I am concerned because mine is being painted. He said he was very surprised at this because they are usually so well packed!!(bubble wrap etc)

I had no bubble wrap at all, i literally had a big cardboard box and the spoiler was wrapped in a thin spongy wrap thing which was like 5mm thick, and that was loosly selotaped on, total rubbish, the spoiler was free to be rattled around in the box and also it was free to be pile driven which is what caused the crack as someone banged it down, this wouldnt have happened if it had some bubble wrap, it may as well have not been in a box at all. totally disappointed, the least you send something like that in is bubble wrap, its not expensive!

well my bodyshop guy said he'd sand it back a little and fill it, cant be arsed with sending back, just thought i'd post to vent my anger and tell others to look out! the thing was marked too, dark areas where some grubby hands had been on it and marks where it had been touching the inside of the box etc.

That's what Ive been saying, if its been marked in transit after its been painted, its going back.
Are they fitting the brake light in if it's being painted?

Unhappy

Hi Guys

sorry to hear that a spoiler has arrived without being properly wrapped. This is inexcusable

I can only apologise. Due to the huge volume of mail order we have actually employed someone specifically to do pack and wrap on a daily basis. Although he was given quite detailed instructions on how to pack these items its seems that this was not done to my wishes. I'm very sorry.

I will personally oversee the packing of all outstanding spoilers to ensure that everyone is delighted.

May I suggest that if you are unhappy with any aspect of our companies goods or services, a quick mail or phone call to me personally rather than a public rant will always receive both a sympathetic and immediate response.

Cheers Paul
TSL

PS.. the spoiler fits using standard bolts.. the ones in your existing wing.. we can happily supply a stainless fixing kit for everything for £10..

theres no point ringing, you cant offer me anything can you, my bodyshop guy is going on holiday soon so I'd rather he fix it and spray it than for me to have to go through the hassle of waiting for another one and sending this one back.

I came on here to make sure that others looked closely.

My bodyshop guy is charging me an extra £20 to tidy the spoiler up, can this be reimbursed, probably not

Hi UHF

even though we only charged £15 for the carriage.. we still insured everything to the hilt in this group buy.

So the damage to the spoiler is fully covered. The carriage company Securicor will pay to have it collected and a new one delivered as soon as they are back in stock.. leaving you with a pristine example at precisely no extra charge

I'm sorry that you're box was battered. sadly its the only part of the process that we have no control over after it has left us here, hence the fact we put BIG insurance on all packages. I will play it whichever way you want mate

cheers

Paul

Cool

Thanks to everybody involved with organising this group buy. I am glad to say my spoilers arrived promptly and with no damage. Will be losing the car for a few days next week for colour coding, soilers painted, fitted etc.

Before and after pictures should be a good idea.

Cheers again.

Is the group buy still open? If so can I just phone up TSL directly and place my order?

I think it's all done and dusted we are all just waiting for the painted ones to be sent out. The unpainted ones have already been dispatched, but you could always ring up Paul at TSL and ask..

Like I said Trouser@TSL, I have the week off for the car to go into the body shop, it'll cost me more in messing about time than it would just getting my bodyshop to sort it out.

Mine is being fitted either Monday or Tuesday, will post pics right away

Hello guys Im back after my time away and it seems people have started to receive units, which im pleased to hear! and im glad Paul has been sorting any issues.

This group buy is closed now as TSL are out of stock, but if people are interested then keep adding names to here as I may be tempted to do another one sometime in the future, although I wont argue if someone else wants to take up the mantle - dont forget people sho run group bvuys do so to help their fellow scoobyneters and get nothing extra for their trouble. Its hassle but its nice to give something back to the community.

Jon.
