Tony H, Stormy & Hugh, MRK, Mark G, Phil B &* Girlfriend have all booked the same Chunnel

Ref Returning aim for a tea time crossing unless you intend to go via autoroute from Lux or via the ring.

16 weeks to go, at last time is flying looks like its going to be half the amount of drivers compared to previous trips.

13 Drivers on PAU circuit equals unlimited track time for 4 hours oh dear that will be a real pain.

Track time opens at 08:30 and finishes at 12:30 then we are all off for lunch courtesy of TM.

We're thinking of staying here on Sat 6th to break up the journey South: Château de Salvert : le plus sculpté des châteaux en Val de Loire. Unique B&B

And here on Sun 14th after a day playing at the Nurburgring on the way home: MOTORSPORTHOTEL.DE - Welcome

Cheers

Is anyone taking camcorders to record the usual track and trip action and does anyone have the knowhow and editing software to compile a dvd like Paul did for EB07?

I'm thinking of getting a camera and mount to get some footage.

Rog, Marv, are you taking cameras?

I think Phil B will be taking all sorts of camera equipment, he's ex BBC so should be good quality as well. Maybe even HD. Although not sure I want my gurning face plastered over a 50" Plasma even if it is HD.

Will you be employing the "Roger's patented Video camera mounting system"? (Handheld to the un-initiated!)

Oh the hours we spent looking at shots of the carpet as he changed gear!

Very nice Rog...! Assuming it makes it to the south of France (or even to the south of Scotland this time)I'm looking forward to some laps of Pau Arnos with you.
Can't (officially) take mine on track or I will invalidate the warranty on the new engine.

12 weeks to go...

Okay, think I'm going to have to get the Chunnel crossing on the Saturday and follow Stormy/Mrk/TonyH etc, assuming they'll drive slowly enough for me to keep up

Weird! Just talking to the person who sits next to me at work, and he's going to be in Pau on the Sunday we're there. Small world or what?

Tony

No need to worry about keping up! Mrk 'air cooled' Ahlin only has 280BHP to play with
now

Rog, cool Knockhill vid! Is that a head-up display you are using? The Caterham looked a bit twitchy in the moist conditions.

9 weeks to go

I've been sorting out the car - new brake pads and discs now on, headlamp deflectors bought. Sill undecided about the tyres as they have a reasonable amount of tread left.

TonyG - good stuff matey And how much tread have you left on your tyres?
Also if your friends wants to come on track with us, ask him to drop me an email.

Rog - cool vids, and how much power? Your flywheel power seems rather conservative compared to your wheel power.

Tony1 - I have 285bhp thank you, those 5bhp will make all the difference,
