I am reliably informed the new Focus RS has limited tuning potential as the trick transmission cannot take much more than standard power/torque.

daviee,
Personally, the RS Focus is not for me.

They don't appear to be very quick either in a straight line out of the box.

First world problems and all that.

Saw alv on Thursday shaun and he said he would build you a bigger garage if you wanted a bigger car

Not the most "dynamic" rear granted, but the noise that comes out of that area is pretty awesome! Ha

Just done over 100miles today in it and so far, I'm very very impressed. It's a cracking piece of engineering.

Awesome....vag are so good at interiors and little touches that work.
Are the paddles attached to the wheel still??
I really think they shouldn't be on performance versions as they are a pain to pull under cornering being so small.

Yep... still on the wheel, but they are a bit bigger on the RS over the A45. I'll look to get some extenders in any case.

Is it a horrible colour?

Absolutely love these cars, very nice choice. You do need to step away from the 1/4 times though Shaun lol

jamesrwx,
You kidding me..... I live my life a quarter mile at a time now!

Anon,
Will do buddy.

Don't worry.... I'll aim to put a couple 100 more on it today. lol

Raggy,
I actually prefer the RS3 at the front..... much more aggressive imo.

The rear.... I have no comment about that. It's looks way more boring than the A45, which looked the nuts from the rear, but boring at the front.

Just the gearbox bit Come on, I don't believe you would choose the screamer 2.0t Merc engine over the Audi 2.5T. The little 2.5T that I remember matching your GTR all the way up the 1/4 on that particular day and posting a quicker time at Crail overall (11.3) And the noise, the 2.5T is in another league to the 2.0T

Looks are subjective of course, I preferred the CLA45 over the A45 although it does look a little more aggressive with the Aero kit. Personally, the RS3 is the nicer place to be for me but then I have always been an RS fanboy

Ah the RS6, nice one, the ultimate all rounder, stunning cars, nice choice

The vbox chart was from Stage 1, not timed it yet Stage 2 but should be good for around 6 secs to 100 and mid 10's down the strip. 60 I doubt will change.

Shaun, can't wait to see what your RS3 will do down the strip, I believe there's a guy from Glasgow who has just done an 11.3 at Pod in his MRC RS3 TTE with more to come. There's your challenge

Leo,
The RS6 looks stunning!

I know the guy from Glasgow very very well. I was in constant comms with him throughout his upgrade process. Actually, the video of his run at the Pod (that he has shown around) was taken by me. Ha

As you say..... that's my initial benchmark.

Nice one Shaun,

I think I would darken those wheels a little, the silver rotors have been around a while and are already on a lot of A* Audi's. Great looking car though.

I'm sure you're already a part of the TTRS owners group on Facebook but if not, there's the worlds best 2.5T tuning specialists and engine builders in that group with a lot of information on hardware development over the last few years of what works and what doesn't. There are 2.5T IMS turbo kits that are now hitting the UK from the states all the way from 550hp to over 1000hp. The kits aren't as expensive as I thought they would be, skip the TTE and go straight for the IMS 650

Look forward to seeing your development, I'm sure your goal will be in the 10's.

I never ran that GT-R again at Crail, not sure when you did the 11.3 as it must have been a while after.

What colours your RS6, Sepang? I really like Mica Blue.
