Looking to order my inovit tarmac wheels next week in 17" was just wondering what would be the best tyre size profile to go for

205/45/17

Are the correct sizes.

The differnce between the 40 and 45 is profile hight? What one would look best?

the 45 was the original Subaru fitment, but back then there was little choice so most went with 40s.

I've always used 215/40s

45s will rub if the car is lowered or even if it is not sometimes .

I have 215/45/17 on a V4 classic and their scraping the arches on the back. But its only the rear right side so maybe theres a problem I have to sort.

I thought it might have been the width of the tyres causing the problem.
