Standard Tire Size MY05 STi

Hi does anybody know the standard tire size as above. I know there 225/45/17 but what is the weight and sipped rating? Also do they need to be XL?
I'm after some winter tires and there seems to be a minefield of varying sizes and ratings. Any help appreciated.

225/45/17

i prefer 235/45/17 as fill arches better (the widetrack wheels look slim on these cars imho)

XL definately
