Brake pads interchangable - 2010 to 2003
Morning all, hoping you can give me a little advice. I owned a 2010 hatchback STi, which I sold after owning it for 2 years (we emigrated). Before I sold it I upgraded the brakes to Ferodo DS2500, and kept the OEM pads in case I ever needed to go back to stock. When I sold the car I kept the OEM parts and shipped them with me when we moved (more a case I forgot to chuck them out. They still have plenty of "meat" left on them though !)
Now that I have settled in my new country of residence, I bought myself a 2003 STi blob-eye (I had lusted after one for a long time). The pads on that have now worn down (German country roads / autobahn ), and I am wondering if I can use the old OEM pads from my 2010 ? I have looked on a few websites and for example the Ferodo DS 2500 for both the 2003 and 2010 are the same part number. Not sure if this means they will fit, or if they are safe to interchange.
Any advice on the topic would be greatly appreciated
