I want to put a set of 17" wheels on my MY01 sport, what I want to know is will I just be able to replace the standard wheels that came with the car and that's it or will anything else have to be done.

Thanks

Any 17" wheels should bolt straight on, with new Wheel nuts. Which should come with the wheels mind....

As long as you get the right tyres your speedo will be fine. I believe the size for the new age Impreza is 215/40 17.

My Impreza isn't the Bug eye one but the classic style, last of this shape off the line

I think then in this case you can choose between 205/45 17 or the 215/40/17. I say go for the 215 cos you will be very limited in what tyre you can buy in 205 form, plus they tend to be more expensive.
