Rear brake drums and shoes on 2005 WRX ?
Hi everyone, as a new member and the recent owner of my first Subaru Impreza I have a few questions if anyone can help me please ?
I have purchased a 2005 Impreza WRX which I will use for occasional amateur track days and not general road use apart from travelling to and from Silverstone etc and I have just purchased a set of grooved discs and orange EBC pads all round from Godspeed (good guys) however I have just stripped down the rear brakes to discover drums and shoes as well as the pads and discs ? I had not budgeted for additional brakes so are they purely for handbrake use or will I need to upgrade them also ?
Any advise would be welcomed as I'm very much an amateur mechanic
Thanks
Pete
