Which front pads?
Now had the car 6 weeks but cannot get on with the brakes as they lack feel.
The car is for road use, 360 BHP and currently has Green stuff pads in the front. Brembo 4 pots and Brembo discs.
Not wanting to offend anyone but do not want EBC anything as I raced bikes for 7 years and tried EBC race spec pads once and scared the crap out of myself and everyone else around me.
Gary.

Spend the money and buy race spec pads like pagid rs, pf z rated, carbotech, carborn Lorraine etc, unless you want a milder pad which is still good.
I've heard the Brembo hp sports are getting good reviews

Thanks for the advice guy's. Been recommended Aztec Kevlar pads and got an awesome price deal for a full set. I'm going to give them a go and if still not happy will be going with either PF or Brembo.
I will post feedback should anyone be interested in trying them?

Where the hell did the previous owner get the green stuff pads from? thought they stopped making them for impreza's years ago a. Might of got a set for a Volvo as these fit the gold brembos.
As well as those mentioned above, The newer compounds from EBC are pretty good and not badly priced, Blue or orange stuff pads.

After your original post and you say you don't like ebc stuff which is fast road/race type pads you then go for Kevlar
that's going backwards IMO you will get fade on a hard drive unless you drive like a Sunday driver.
I personally are not a fan of ebc stuff either as it does not suffice my driving styles.

The kevlar pads are the first step up from standard and will perform no where near the PF , EBC blue and orangestuff and Ferodo DS2500's ect , they are what I would recommend as cars used as an everyday drive that gets a bit of stick now and again.
Do a search and ask the users on here , there will be plenty of feedback on all the types of pads , and decide from there

EBC Greenstuff are never recommended on an Impreza and would be shocking I would expect.
Kevlar pads are our most popular seller with very good feedback for it's intended use (normal/fast road) and at that price they are hard to knock. The next stage up is more than double the price and Bluestuff/Orangestuff are almost 3 or 4 times the price.
Each pad has it's advantages and disadvantages. PF are very good value also.

Nope, they still make them, however they are for cars 200bhp or less and lightweight so no idea why these were ever fitted.

I think you missed my point, they still do make the compound but not for turbo charged impreza's, they stopped making them years ago as they just wouldn't work/Not good enough. However the pad shape for a Volvo V70R is the same as the brembo's on on newage STI. Either you have very old pads or pads not designed to stop your car.
Try the Kevlar pads from aztech, if they don't work buy a different type.
I've gone through nearly all of the makes/compounds over the last ten years of owning impreza's and found the EBC Bluestuff to be the best for price, performance and the amount of dust they chuck off. These worked really well on my old 480BHP type R.
I will be replacing my Pagid RS29 for a set of Orangestuff once these need replacing, the Pagid work very well but they are very dusty
no comparison between E*C and Pagid, like comparing Timex to Rolex IMO............
we have found that whilst the newer compunds from E*C have improved they lack consistency and vary in peformance set to set......
the PAGIDS do exactly what they say on the tin
