Default 18x8 ET32 on a classic?

Possibly an eBay buying fail, but I've bought some inovit wheels in 18x8 ET32 but I'm not sure how well they'll fit at that offset? Anyone had similar sized wheels on a classic? Not averse to ABW arches if needed but I dont think they'll be out enough to fill them. FWIW I've got a set of 225/40 tyres kicking about too so I'd ideally use them.

Ta, Adam.

With 215/35s and a decent pull on the arches you might get away with it if; you may need some big camber but I think it'll be tight. I have 8x18 on et48 with a 12mm spacer (so effectively et36) and they needed a roll on newage arches

That was my fear, basically I've been offered a classic estate cheap with rotten arches so ABW's would sort that out perfectly, but it seems that the wheels wouldn't be proud enough to fill them.

Suppose it'll sort of keep the wife happy, won't be adding a 4th Impreza to the collection but the wheels will be staying in the house for now!

they are to big for the standard arches and to small for the abw ones bud

any lower then et45 and it will rub and be a pain, and to be fair 35 profile is defo recomended if your running 18s on a gc8, i had 40 profile on my 18s and they were rubbing, 35 profile and a couple deg neg camber sorted that issue out!
