replacing rear discs/pads next week
next saturday i will be replacing the rear discs and pads on my 04 wrx blobeye,i was going for a big disc upgrade but decided to stay standard size for now,my handbrake is not very good as i have to pull it to the last but 1 click for it to secure,i have tried to adjust it at the lever but there is no more adjustment so while im doing the rear discs will adjust it then,is it worth getting some new shoes in case mine are ****ed or not? if so where can i get them from and how much are they?
i think im having these discs,had them on my civic type r and for cheap discs they worked well

I wouldn't use drilled disc, they are known to crack and the pads will be missed matched to your big front brakes.
Would be very surprised if the shoes have had it. They shouldn't ware much.
You need to adjust the handbrake at the back of the brake instead of the wires near the handbrake lever, on the back of the brake/hub is a little oval rubber gromet. Pop this off and inside is a toothed wheel that spins up and down, this will tighten or loosen hand brake. (It's a real b4stard to see and operate unless on a ramp)
You will most likey need to slacken the handbrake off anyways in order to get the rear disc off. Failing to do so may result in braking the shoes springs or not getting the disc off at all.

the discs im using are only a temp thing cos mine are knackered and i cant really afford a big disc kit at the min so as long as they last 6 months or so then i will be happy,are the rear brembos from an sti a straight fit?
are your discs totally fubared?? you'd be better off with decent quality OEM discs and spend some money on decent pads to try and balance the uprated fronts
std STi stuff is not a straight fit as you need either sleeved discs or modified h/brake shoes to sort...........
you'b be unlucky if your rear shoes are worn unless you impersonate a certain mr.mcrae often, as above you need to back the internal cabl;e adjustment off and then adjust the shoes in the discs correctly and then the cable adjustment simply should fine-tune the lever position
