Default Prodrive Alcon brakes advice

Hi guys

Just bought myself a 2000 turbo and its got the prodrive 330 front brake kit. However, the discs and pads are running very low and do need replacing soon, and I'm running a bit low for cash!

Question is, do I save and replace the discs and pads, or do I sell the calipers and refit some standard ones?

What rims are minimum? 18" or 17"?

Also, how much are the brake pad set?

If it is of any use to you I have a set of Subaru 4 pot calipers, black diamond combi discs and very expensive pagid rs4.2.1 black pads. All are in very good order, discs and pads have only done about 2500 miles, loads left on them. This makes a very good fast road setup. They were fitted to my P1 until I replaced them with AP Racing kit. Would you be interested in a swap for your Prodrive calipers and brackets providing yours are in good condition.

If interested give me a shout and we can send each other pics. Thanks, Jon.

Alyn/Stockcar (AS Performance) who posted above makes a great 2 piece set up to fit the Alcon calipers

And ?? are you blaming us for the weather

Brake discs are made of a very corrosive material , if you park it up out in the open through the winter , and with this guy in the snow , then any disc is going to corrode like that.

We have sold thousands and thousands of discs to Subaru owners , I'm sure if it was a problem with our discs the amount of people on here with them fitted would have all mentioned it.
