brembos
hey there I'm new here my dad just recently picked up a 2010 impreza WRX S and loving it, got one thing bugging him with it and that the brakes my question is I've reached ebay and there are loads of brembo for sale, I'm unsure as to whether there all the same i.e. fittment throughout the range and models? I'm only after doing the fronts as I've read the backs are a lot work
many thanks Dan

All front Brembo calipers are bolt on throughout the Impreza range. Its just the PCD of the disc that changes on STi's from 2005 onwards. But the discs can be drilled to fit both PCD's, fairly cheap.
So if you buy a pair of black calipers and discs, the discs won't fit without modification, as your PCD is 5x100 comapred to the 2005 onwards STI which is 5x114.3

Caliper wise yes. Only the black ones have STi on them from the factory, although it is the same caliper. Any balck ones with Brembo on, are either repainted Gold ones, or another model Brembo caliper, like the Gran Turismo.
By the way, the Gran Turismo's are narrower, and allow bigger discs, only 4mm bigger, as standard STi discs are 326mm despite some people claiming they are 330mm. I'd go for the GT's if you can as the wheel fitment is better. You cannot run standard WRX's rims with the standard STi Brembo's, without spacers.

Check if your PCD is 5x100. if so I have a set of gold Brembo's off my 2002 STi with a set of DSA uprated discs and ferrodo pads avaliable. You are 80+ miles from me so could meet half way if you wanted them. Also have rears if you want.

doubt even the car makers have time to think of those things.........
the STi from 2005MY and newer adopted the 5x114.3 hibs because of the need to fit a larger heavy duty bearing assembly to the front hibs for the grpN cars.......

its a shame you cant buy the alcon discs in standrad sti size they seem like a good disc! have to look for performance friction for my car!
