We talking official AP Racing kits and comparing like with like? Same discs (330x28mm 48 vane) and same pads? I've got 6-pots but I reckon the smart money is on the 4-pots - useful saving and pads cheaper/greater choice. Still MASSIVELY powerful and fade/warp-free Put the saving towards a suspension upgrade to get the most from them.
Richard.
Edited to add that I doubt many drivers could tell which calipers you were using from behind the wheel, even on track. You're much more likely to notice differences in pads, brak fluid, braided hoses etc than you will between 4- and 6-pot calipers. Even with 4-pots under 16in wheels braking is ABS limited.

If you're only using it for road get the 4 pot kit. The pads are also markedy cheaper as well for the 4 pots (especially the 17" kit).

Paul I moved from using AP 4 pots to AP6 pots, and have to say I would be more than happy using the 4 pots on both road and track. The many thing that swings it for the 4 pots is that the choice of pads you can get.
