Default 'Painted' discs

I'm about to fit new to me discs & callipers. The discs have been spray painted black - all over. Do I need to remove this prior to running them? I'm thinking about the contact surface

Cheers

No your brakes will clean themselves off, as long as its not majorly caked on.

Are you sure about that? What about impregnating the pads with paint?

Yeah as the pads aren`t porous. The excess paint will scrape off or burn off, I had overspray on many many a disk and its always burnt off.
I think you`d have a mess if it was really thick and I`d say to scrape it off, but if its only thin just take it for a drive and it will come off.

I thought the paint might contaminate the pad surface. Might just flash them with wet n dry
