Originally had Halfords ones and they rusted badly. Now the Subaru ones, but just had to destructively remove one after to change my rear pads. Any suggestions of a good quality one where the key won't bend when you use it, manking the holes in the wheel nut too!

Me and locking wheel nuts never seem to work properly - I end up bending the wheel nut spanner, the wheel nut or the key and I always ask tyre places not to overtighten them for this very reason. Pity if my wife needed to change a tyre!

Also trying to find a UK stockist. Don't want to buy crap ones which break or rust AGAIN!

John,

Speedline have put me in touch with one of their dealers who recommend these security nuts (all the details I took down are at work and will have to wait for the morning). If I rememeber correctly they are £35 per set and they suggest two sets per vehicle. How can I contact you for exchange of details?

Thanks johnbanks@dsl.pipex.com for details would be great! I've found Smarter Direct http://www.smarterdirect.com/products.htm who stock the above McGard ones which do look pretty solid and as though they won't rust and don't have silly covers!

Why two sets a vehicle = £70?? Surely just one per wheel is required? Are they McGard or another make?

Hi John,

I've got the McGuard looking nuts, got them from Demon Tweeks. Can't remember the price but they are definately worth the money. Very impressed with them.

Tony.

I've got the silver ones...top picture, second set in. Still okay even through the winter. It's my standard nuts that have gone rusty. Mine were £35 or there about
