Default Winter tyre brands ??

Hi folks

I am going to buy 4 winter tyres for the classic I am going to fit 215 45 17 to it my local tyre place has quoted me Yokohama @ £150,Marshall @ £117 and budget @ £99.Prices are each and include valve,wheel balance,scrap disposal and v.a.t

What are you lot running brand wise ?

I need winters as I live in the Aberdeenshire countryside and we get plenty snow .

Well your size is wrong to start with, you want 205/45/17 or 215/40/17.

Yea I know Tony thanks.
My tyres are 40's but not many options available in that size, hence why I moving up to 45's just for the snow and all round bad weather we get in Aberdeenshire, not much of a difference in size so not going to give me any issues really..

that's a difference in radius of about 11mm (ie 11mm closer to your wheel arch) which may or may not be a problem.

Personally for maximum cost effectiveness I have just got a bargain set of 16" wheels (having had 17" winter tyres previously) and got a set of these. I've had nokians for 4 winters now and they are outstanding. Also available in 17" size.
