Anyone know what size or kind of bleed nipple i need to ask the local part shop tomorrow, i had to renew 2 brake lines now i need to bleed the system but both front 4pot callipers have sheered there bleed nipples, to describe theres a bolt in the calliper that the bleed nipple is threaded into, anyone help?

 

The nipples screw straight into to caliper casting.

If they are standard Subaru 4 pots then they shouldn't be like that.

My guess is that someone has sheared off the original nipples and fitted those banjo bolt nipples instead. You need to be getting the original nipple holes sorted otherwise you wont be able to bleed the calipers properly.

As said before, get some pictures up as then we can see what you have got.

 

Will have to get pics up the morro, cant get things working this end just now but what ive got looks like those banjo bolts, the cars a v5 uk turbo

 

 

They are not standard nipples.

I got a mate to weld a nut onto the broken nipples an we managed to free them an now we have working bleed nipples, i spoke to my mates brother who owns a garage and he said the brakes must of been reconditioned at some point coz thats what they fit if the nipples break in the caliper, they'll just drill them out an retap an use these sort of bleed nipples instead
