Default alloy wheels & making sense of wheel stampings

Hi.. newby to the forum (but 5th Subaru) seeking info re alloys.
In process of buying 2005 Impreza hatch 2.0 GX..nothing fancy! Looking for some S/H alloys to put Winter tyres on.

Anyone know of a website where I can find details of the standard factory-fiited Subaru 7-spoke alloys so I can ensure any S/H ones will be appropriate? They are 16" x 6.5 wheels I believe & pretty sure pcd=100. Anyone confirm the offset? (52.5?) and centre bore (56?) or point me in the right direction pls.

Have seen some wheels on fleabay with:
16 7JJ 53 A46 ASAHITEC stamped apparently...

..so I guess that's 16" x 7" (JJ?) wide Asahitec wheels but 53? and A46?..expect one is the offset and the other the centre bore..but not sure which is which..what is the convention on the order of these markings? (if there is one).

thanks for reading

53 is most likely to be the offset, but a46 could mean anything... model number perhaps ?

dunx

P.S. And a 7" rim width on a 16" diameter.

Hi

If the wheels are Asiatek wheels they are an aftermarket wheel. I would doubt the centre bore will be 56.1mm (as per the Subaru hub) as most aftermarket wheels are designed to take a spiggot ring so will probably have a centre bore larger (probably 73mm). This will not be stamped on the wheel, but not a problem as we can supply spiggot rings to fit them, you would just need to measure the diameter of the centre bore of the wheel.
The offset is normally stamped on the reverse of the wheel. It should have the prefix ET although not always.
The JJ part of the markings is do do with the profile of the construction of the wheel rim, nothing to worry about with that and the 7x16 as Dunx rightly says it the width (7") and diameter (16") of the wheel.

Hope that helps, any more info required just let me know.

Thanks

Keith

Now just trying to find ET/offset of original Subaru 7-spoke as fitted to the car when new...wan't winter-wheels as close as poss to what's on there... trouble is wife has the car and it's 4 hours away for the next 2 weeks so I can't just go take a look for a "ET" stamp on the rim. Will contact Subaru UK
