I知 considering upgrading my 97 2 pots to STI 4 pots or perhaps even 6 pots. I can change the callipers and disks myself, but I知 concerned about the effect the extra pots will have on the bias. Will I need to get this set up properly?

Cheers,

Rob

Cheers,

I don't understand why they don't need setting up though? If I have 2 pots and uprate to 4/6 pots then you would think that it would need more fluid to push the same distance i.e. more volumne in pots. Maybe the front / back distribution is by pressure rather than volumne? Even so, surely more pots can provide more pressure and hence require setting up? I was considering an upgrade for my chimp (before I sold it :-< ) and that definately needed setting up.

I think I'm talking through my **** here. Maybe the moderator can move this to the general technical area for some techy to provide the answer?

Confused,

Rob

Cool

If you upgrade the calipers do you need to upgrade the master brake cylinder to compensate for the extra pots.
