light weight wheels!

light weight wheels!
whats classed as a"light weight wheel",the wheels i have weigh 12-14 pounds @17"with 215/40/17 tyres.i guess there very heavy!!

12-14 lbs with tyres doesn't sound right (far too light), what did you weigh them with.
OE newage STi 17" gold rims are about 12kgs bare, 18" PFF7s are about 8kg bare and the difference in suspension control is quite noticeable.

OE newage wheels are only around 9kg actually. Very light for standard wheels
Spec C BBS wheels are 7kg!

i went from OEM 17" 03 WRX wheels to 18" Oz Alleggeritas and noticed no difference at all.

Aren't they the lightest alloy wheel available?
