Default Wheel clearance for brembos

Can someone clear this up once and for all. I have an 01 bugeye and have upgraded to brembos all round, I currently have sti 8 wheels on but fancy something else. My plan was to put prodrive Oz p1 17" on after a quick refurb but put brembos Before having them refurbished, thus rendering the 17" un useable but the 18" version was suggested to fit and also the sti comes with these and has brembos so why do people say these won't fit. This leaves me confused and wondering where to go from here

UK300 came with 17 or 18 Prodrive OZ's, STI never did.

P.S. Some OZ alloys with the correct offset will clear Brembos, mine has some.

Not without spacers, as stated they were never offered for the STI.

10mm on the front and I wouldn't use them myself... fine for a "show-car".

IMHO.

I ran 5mm spacers with 18" P1 WRC wheels on my Classic type R for 2 years to clear Brembo's. No issues at all.

It's a good opportunity to get some nice looking wheels.......... multispoke like Rota GRA, OZ Superleggera, speedline Turini's look good on a bug
