Kwik Fit et all are all just pissed off that people can buy mail order tyres cheaper then they can sell them for.

Their way of combating this is to not fit any that aren't supplied by them with some "its not our company policy" BS thrown in.

Find a small independant tyre company they'll be happy to fit them for you.

As said, just find an independant garage. Although I've had Kwik Fit fit mine before.

well did the run around today, Bathwick, ATS, Kwik fit etc etc all said no chance we wont fit them. had a 'discussion' with one of them asking why and he said company policy as we cant guarantee the tyre? i said surely the manufacturer guarantees the tyre and i could get a puncture driving up the road out of the place! noobs.

Anyhoo drove round the industrial estate found a place that said yeah no problems £20 a tyre lol, i nearly pissed myself laughing, £80 to fit tyres so drove a bit further up the road and the next place said yeah not a problem £20 the lot inclusing balancing, result!

Well done, pleased you got it sorted.

£80 though. Why do people do that? It doesnt cost them anything except a loss in customer.

i normally charge £10 a tyre to fit tyres brought in by the customer which is a fair price ,

£80 is a bit steep

Most places round my way charge £10.00 a wheel, which i think is good value as it can take 30 minute or so.
