Std nuts aren't a good fit.

Dave YI have Oz Alleggeritas on mine and I bought Kai black nuts which are shaped for security along with McGard black locking nuts also. Look mint and have been fine for me.

12x1.25 60deg cone 19mm hex. OE nuts will rip through aftermarket wheels that do not have the steel inserts of the OE wheels so you need nuts with deeper cones.

Cheapest solution:

Dave, the McGard nuts are good and Thatcham approved. IMHO look no further. The fact they come in black is good also. Again, RCM and Revolution have both used the Kai Racing nuts on my car with no negative comments. If Olly at RCM thought so he would tell me.

Dont know how much they are,but they definetly do them,i just bought some new OZ wheels and they came with a set of shiny new nuts.I,ve not used them though,i bought a set of black Rays nuts off someone(Paulospec-c)on here, good quality and good fit at a reasonable price,4 of the 20 pack are locking nuts as well,so they would be ideal for you.

The OZ nuts aren't up to our fabulous climate... both of my sets looked rubbish after only one winter.

dunx

P.S. Avoid acidic wheel cleaners on the nuts and centre caps !

Dave Y, just re-read up the thread bud, I put links for Revolution on there. I got mine from there. they were fitted on the day as I had my wheels changed and suspension done by them on that day.

Tell them who you got the wheels from, and ask for a decent deal...

Hi

Give me a shout if you are stuck as we can supply either the standard type that would come with your OZ wheels although as mentioned above they do not last.
We can also supply (as MaDass mentioned) the Kei Racing spline drive nuts as a complete set of 20 or c/w a set of McGard locking nuts. Both are available in either black or silver and the Kei nuts are available in a variety of weird and wonderful colours.

Thanks

Keith

Hi

Spiggot rings are used on most aftermarket wheels to enable the wheel to fit onto the hub of the desired car. Subarus are the same 5 stud pattern as some VWs but the hub size is 1mm smaller so if you had a set of aftermarket wheels with the VW spiggots fitted they would need a new set to fit them properly to the Subaru hub otherwise there will be a gap and this will cause vibration.

Hope that helps and is clear as mud!!

Thanks

keith
