Default Sti ra v3 rear brake discs 2 pot conversion question.

Doing a little rear end refresh on my ra, it has the r180 diff with the 290mm solid rear discs, called import car parts and asked for "290mm solid discs" but was sent vented, im finding it hard to get them as they say they will need to come from japan, i dont fancy having to wait forever for them to turn up.
Does anyone know if a set of 2 pots would just bolt on so i can just use the 290mm vented discs as would prefer 2 pots anyway, or will i still need a coversion bracket even tho i have the bigger hubs.
Cheers
Jay

Hi
No the 2 pots wont fit your car as the rear backplates are different , there is no way you can get the 2 pots on your existing setup.
You can change the backplates from either later type R or 2001 onwards sti ones , you can then fit the 2 pots on

Cheers ian not too sure what to do yet, still got new bearings to put in the hubs so may just stick with the single pots, do you stock the 290mm solid discs, they seem hard to find.

The hubs are the same , you re-use your hubs and just swap the backplate to the later ones , None of my suppliers can get hold of the 290mm solid discs with the 190mm handbrake

the correct solid OE discs are generally fairly easy to find, you just need to know where to ask.............LOL

Managed to find genuine subaru discs, were not cheap but cheaper than converting to 2 pot, kinda regreting buying them now as fancied doing a 2 pot conversion while it was all in bits.
