Default No brakes!

After fitting my new drop links I thought I give the car some beans and see how they handled.
I was on a twisty road and using the brakes a lot and all seemed ok. At the end of a long straight I did some heavy breaking for a sharp corner and they faded to nothing, I managed to make the corner but it scared the hell out of me. Pedal felt the same just no stopping power.
It took a few minuets for the brakes to start working properly again and seams fine now.

I'm guessing I just cooked the brakes (never done that before) but want to upgrade to something better. When I bought the car it had EBC reds which were a bit wooden, especially when cold. When the front pads wore out I changed for standard OE pads which I guess was a mistake.

Disc's are EBC grooved which are in good condition so I'm thinking pads, fluid and possibly braided hoses?
Anything else I should think off, other than driving slower!!!

Drive slower

If you have standard pads then this will be the problem , fit some EBC bluestuff NDX pads and it will make the world of difference.

If the pedal stayed the same , then its not the fluid that let you down , but then fluid should be changed at least every 18 months , sooner if you drive very hard or do track days.

Braided hoses would give you a firmer pedal , and is worth changing if your car is getting on as the standard hoses can soften up.

Hope this helps
